Although the Bret Favre era in Green Bay is past – at least that’s the word – the Packers remain a popular choice with fans scattered across the country. How is it possible to keep up with this new era – the Aaron Rodgers era? The simple answer is to watch the games on your PC.
That’s right. Catch all the Packer action all season long like I did with live streaming on my computer watching Green Bay defeat arch-rival Chicago in their season opener 21-15. I got to see a great beginning to the Rodgers era when he led the team on a game-winning drive with 1:11 left on the clock. Chicago had managed to get ahead at 15-13 despite great Packer defense that picked off the Bears four times. Rodgers faked a perfect handoff tossing a winning strike to WR Gregg Jennings for the go ahead score. I saw Green Bay make that 2-point conversion. It was enough. Packers Coach Mike McCarthy had nothing but praise for Rodgers, mugging to the cameras with a “Bret who?” retort.
Now you too can see “Mister” Rodgers right in your “Neighborhood” by downloading this fantastic software that is easily installed and easily operated. It is simple. I know because all I did was follow the instructions and was instantly up and running.
Plus you get much more with access to additional sports events plus favorite TV shows, weather and news channels, movies and lots of kids’ programming. All you need is a Windows operating system on your computer. Don’t worry about upgrading – the system does not need to be the newest, just as long as it is Windows. Also, you do need a DSL or cable Internet connection so you have a high quality feed.
Now your set to catch the Packers take on all comers – no matter where you sit!

For those of you who are breathing sighs of relief that the Favre saga is finally over, think again. It’s not over at all. It’s only just begun. Prepare for an entirely new level of over-coverage and over-analyzation by ESPN, the NFL Live crew and so on. You thought the Michael Vick coverage was over the top? The Favre to the Jets story will make the Vick story look like a trade between the Nationals and the Royals for a minor league reliever.
Throughout the pre-season, every episode of SportsCenter, NFL Live, Mike and Mike, Cold Pizza, Around the Horn, PTI and others will start with Brett Favre. They will break down every three-step drop he makes in practice and every interaction he has with a teammate, coach, fan, John Madden and Elvis. every time he makes a good pass in a pre-season game, they will show it 42,987 times throughout the day. Throughout the regular season, they will critique every pass he throws, every decision he makes and every audible he calls.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always loved Brett Favre and the way he plays the game. However, I think we’re all pretty sick of ESPN’s non-stop coverage of the story. I’m just warning you of what to expect this football season. If you’re a fan of any team other than the Jets or Packers, don’t expect to hear about your team very much at all. The 2008-2009 NFL season will revolve around and be dominated by Brett Favre.
Here are some quotes I fully expect to hear on ESPN in the upcoming months:
1) Mark Schlereth- “Brett Farve gives the Jets the best possible chance to win, and that’s all you can ask for from your starting quarterback.”
2) Wendy Nix- “Today during practice, Favre took 71% of the snaps, threw 42 passes, took seven five-step drops, ran to the left twice and the right three times, threw two touchdowns, fumbled one, threw one interception, had four balls batted away, threw 20 incompletions and called six audibles. He also smiled twice, grimaced nine times, wiped the sweat from his brow 18 times, scratched his crotch 11 times, re-adjusted his pants 14 times and his shoulder pads twice (once after a sack, after which he took his helmet off and then put it back on), drank two bottles of water, four cups of gatorade and took a few swigs of an unidentified liquid. He also took two bathroom breaks. The first was for a quick pee, the second time he was in there longer. When reporters asked him if he’d taken a dump, he grinned and said “Go in there and see for yourself”…from Jets camp, Wendy Nix, ESPN.
John Clayton- “Farve may have more hair on his face than I do on my entire body.”
Sean Salisbury- “Shut up John! What are you thinking Brett? You could have had $20 million dollars just to stay retired! That could have funded another appearance for me in a movie role.”
Jim Rome- Brett Farve is amazing. Phenomenal. Outstanding. He’s the real deal. He put the eeze in cheese for so many years in the frozen tundra. Now he’s a New York Jet. Yes, you heard me correctly. Number four is a Jet. Not ON a jet, like flying on a jet back and forth to Green Bay like he did 16 times the last two weeks. He’s a member of the New York Jets. Good luck, Eric Mangini. Are you shaking in your boots, Bill? The reign of the Pats is over like a bad Michael Jackson story. Thank goodness. Now we can all get on to more important things, like Gilbert Arenas’s blog. Incredible. Remarkable. Enjoy Mr. Aaron Rodgers, Packer fans. Jets fans, enjoy watching a legend at work this season. Chad who? Phenomenal.
Ron Jaworski- “I know I love to talk and over-emphasize every other word, but I’m truly speechless right now.” (Applause breaks out from Trey Wingo, who calls for a champange toast).
Ricky Williams- “Yeah, I hope we trade for Chad Pennington. Can the guy play quarterback? I have no idea really. I just hope he can bring some of that great northern weed down here for me.”
PacMan Jones- “Brett is gonna love going from Green Bay to New York, just for the nightclubs.”
Skip Bayless- “The Packers have got to be the dumbest organization on the face of the earth. You just let the player, a future Hall-of-Famer, who has defined your team and is the face of your organization, go to another team for a draft pick. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! Now let me drink my Diet Moutain Dew in peace, and you two Stews can arm wrestle for who gets to take Dana out for lunch today. Where is my Hot Pocket? I’m starving here. These interns suck!”
Jay Mariotti- “Of course this was a good idea. The Packers rid themselves of this entire exhausting distraction and Aaron Rodgers can now sleep at night. Of course, when Rodgers gets hurt or the first time he struggles, Packer fans will be storming the gates of Lambeau and the heads will roll.”
Woody Paige- “You’re an idiot, Jay! Even my four-month old nephew knows this was a bad idea!”
Tony Kornheiser- “The only way this could get any better is if Brett tries out for American Idol.”
Mike Wilbon- “Screw American Idol! It’s dumb, lame entertainment! I’m going to watch the NBA summer league and whatever is on Bravo tonight.”
John Madden- “I love Brett Favre more than Tony Romo loves himself, more than Tom Brady loves Adam Vinatieri, more than Oprah loves a sob story, more than Green Bay loves cheese. I will miss Brett as bad as I miss the telestrator in the booth and Al Michaels. Ya see, Brett playing for the Jets won’t be nearly the same as Brett playing for the Packers. Heck, I think they even wear different uniforms.”
This year Jerry Jones has unveiled his new Cowboys Stadium where “America’s Team” will make their home stands. If you get the opportunity to travel to the Big “D” to check out the stadium, or watch a game, be prepared to shell out a few dollars. Tickets to a Cowboy game range anywhere from $85 to several thousand. Even if you could afford one game, what do you do about seeing the others? It’s a 16-game season and even if you could go to eight home games, the price might set you back a bit. I watched the game on my computer.
Plus, unless you are independently wealthy, following this NFL team about the country for the eight away games would cost you a small fortune. The Cowboys started the 2009 season with an impressive win against Tampa Bay, but the game was away. It was televised, but not nationally. So, unless you had regular television access to the opening game, you missed the exciting 34-21 win and the third season-opening victory for Head Coach Wade Phillips. You missed QB Tony Romo hit fourth-year vet Miles Austin with a 42-yard scoring toss that put the Boys ahead 13-7 against the Bucs. I saw all the action with live streaming video on my PC.
I found this software I could download that gives me access to all the games televised every week. I can choose which game I want to watch and not have to guess what game is going to be televised locally where I live. Furthermore, I gain many other choices because this software gives me access to other sports presentations plus TV shows, movies, weather and news channels, history, entertainment and children’s programming as well.
I can be at home, on the road, or anywhere I have Internet access and never miss all the great Cowboy action. You can, too!
The NY Sports Headquarters will be offering a full-week feature of Fantasy NFL Football rankings. We will be going over the top quarterbacks, running-backs, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers, and defenses, featuring a different section on each day of the week. We will also be including our “sleeper”, “busts” , “break-out”, and our “best overall value” picks for you in your fantasy draft. Today, we will be covering the WR position for your fantasy draft.Sleepers: Ernest Wilford & Michael Clayton
(Last season, Wilford became a favorite target of Jaguar QB Byron Leftwich. Expect more of the same from these two in the upcoming season. Clayton is developing very rapidly, and it’s just a matter of time before he’s considered to be in the upper echelon of WR’s in the NFL.)
Busts: Laveranues Coles & Muhsin Muhammad
(Both the Jets and the Bears only have one premier WR in their offensive arsenal. Both teams have quarterback problems, so don’t expect too many yards and TD’s from either of these guys. Muhammad saw lots of double-teams last year, so I’d expect more of the same as the Bears haven’t addressed their offensive problems. Coles and Muhammad are both fantastic WR’s and athletes, but their teams just won’t be able to utilize them to their full potential.)
Best Values: Chris Chambers, Andre Johnson, & Keenan McCardell
(If you can secure any of these players in the middle rounds, then they are good buys for your fantasy team. Chambers and McCardell will give you a consistent effort, and you pretty much know what to expect. Andre Johnson could have a huge season this year, which would make him a steal as your 2nd WR.)
Break-Out Season: Randy Moss
(It feels weird saying this, but Moss is ready to break out of his injuries, and step up on the field for the Raiders. The team around him this year is much better, and with Randy Moss at 100%, look out: he is one of the best, if not the best WR in the whole game of football.)
The New York Sports HQ will be covering issues regarding professional baseball, football, hockey, and basketball. Under special circumstances, we will also be covering other sports, such as golf, soccer, auto racing, and horse racing. We will provide insight, up to date news, opinion pieces, and all sorts of other information regarding the New York Sports world.
The Mike Ditka era of the Chicago bears endeared the team to many new fans throughout the country. Ditka and his “blue collar” talent hit a familiar note with hard-working, regular Joes that made the team a national treasure during their heydays of the 1980s. That’s when the nickname – “Da Bears” hit national prominence through a lot of national media attention paid to not only the team’s winning ways but to their off field antics as well. This led to increased popularity but not to any increased national television viewing. In the 8os, you didn’t have a source for viewing each game.
You do now.
I had the opportunity to download a software program that easily is installed that allowed me to catch the opening game against Green Bay. I love the Bears and Brian Urlacher is one of my all0time favorites but after sitting out the 2008 season with an injury, he is out again for this season with a broken wrist. I saw the play where he broke it on my computer. And, unfortunately, I also saw QB Jake Cutler throw four interceptions in one game for the first time in his career. But, I saw Packers QB Aaron Rodgers sacked four times. Plus, Coach Lovie Smith said there were 15 more games.
I can’t get enough of Bears action and you can do likewise on your PC. All you need is a computer with a Windows operating system. It doesn’t have to be a brand new system. Not at all. As long as it is Windows and you have a DSL or cable connection, you’re all set. And – here’s the bonus – you also get access to other sporting events as well as TV shows, news and weather channels, movies and kids; programming.
Plus, this way when Da Bears get rolling, you won’t miss a moment.
I’ve been a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan since way before Jon Gruden took them to the Super Bowl in 2002 and won. I now watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL games online. I never miss a game since I’ve been a fan from the John McKay days and watched carefully when Vinnie Testaverde called the signals from 1987-91.
Now the Bucs, as they are affectionately called, are led by Rookie QB Josh Freeman under the guidance of first-year head Coach Raheem Morris. Freeman has some great tools to use in a trio of wide receivers – Antonio Bryant, Brian Clark and Michael Clayton. RBs Earnest Graham and Derrick Ward present a threat to break through any line heading for daylight. And now, you never have to miss another Buccaneer game ever.
All you need is a computer running on Windows operating system and a high-speed Internet connection through either DSL or cable. You don’t even need a new Windows system as long as you have one. Then you be able to download this wonderful software, easily install it and be up in using it within no time.
And, the advantages when using the software are not just limited to watching a Buccaneer game or any other sports presentation. Once you have this software you can put to good use in enhancing your viewing experience by gaining access to more than 3000 television stations worldwide. Imagine all the diversified programming you will now be able to enjoy. Never miss your favorite television show while getting to view a variety of movies, history and entertainment, education and news, as well as quite a bit of a viable children’s programming from around the world.
Don’t you deserve the best. And if you’d been a fan for a long time like I have, you can have the best viewing experience catching all the action.
Meet me in St. Louie and we’ll take in the game. Well, I’ll be somewhere across the country and more than likely sitting in a hotel room on my most recent “road trip.” But, I won’t get stuck watching whatever regional game gets televised locally. I always watch the St. Louis Rams NFL games online. And, if you want to do like I do, you can watch all the action through live streaming video on your PC.
I discovered this fabulous software that I easily downloaded and installed on my computer. It is so simple to use and provides me with access to any televised game anywhere. So I can check out all the action like when the Rams took it to the Saints and nearly won. It came down to a Marc Bulger pass that provided a 50-50 chance for the Rams to upset the undefeated Saints. But, it wasn’t going to be as WR Danny Amendola couldn’t pull it in and the Rams came up short 28-23.
However, the Rams provide a lot of great action like this all season long and you don’t want to miss out. Just as I watch the game on my computer, you can, too. All you need is a computer running on a Windows operating system. You also need a high-speed Internet connection which is available through DSL or cable. Your operating system doesn’t have to be fancy up to date new one as long as it is Windows.
And there’s another great treat in store for you. Using this software does not limit you to just watching sports presentations. You gain access to more than 3000 television stations worldwide. This will allow you to watch a lot of movies, different television shows, history and news, education and entertainment, as well as children’s programming.
One of the great when you’re on the road to catch your favorite Rams playing at home.
Going’ to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come…well, I really don’t have to since I can watch Kansas City Chiefs NFL game online. Yes sir – I discovered this great software which I easily downloaded, installed and now use to catch the Chiefs every time they take the field.
And, as you can chief also like saying the same software that will allow you to watch live and video over the Internet on your PC. Then you’ll get the opportunity like I did to watch the Chiefs pull off upset wins like they did against the Raiders recently when safety Mike Brown grabbed his second secession of the day with only 38 seconds remaining. I got to see running back Jamaal Charles notch is season-high 103 yards that included a 44 yard touchdown run. And it was exciting moments when kicker Ryan Succop Buddha pair of FGs to the uprights.
Now all you need is a computer operating with a Windows system, connected by high-speed to the Internet through either DSL or cable to enhance your viewing pleasure. This software is quite easy to use and will grant you access to all the Kansas City Chiefs action in a matter where you sit in the country as long as you have your laptop with you and Internet connection.
Incidentally, you’ll be happy to know that sports viewing is not the only thing you can do on your PC with this software. You can gain access to more than 3000 television stations worldwide that will allow you to view movies, history and entertainment, education and news, along with lots of viable children’s programming.
Once you get this software, you’ll always have the opportunity to watch quarterback Mark Cassel as he looks for wide receiver Chris Chambers in the open.
