Any New News In The Nfl?

I have spent the last 40 years in prison. The last game I watched was Joe Namath leading the Jets to an upset win over the Colts in Super Bowl III (are they still calling it the Super Bowl, or have they changed it to something else?)
I Have have been fighting the California Corrections system for TV rights ever since. I finally won and now have TV for the first time and want to catch up.
Is there anyone willing to give me a blow by blow description of the last 40 years of NFL football? My celly told me a while back that they got a team in Tampa Bay now. He is always joking around like that.
Someone please help fill me in!
P.S. No wisecrack answers or I’ll send some people to come see you, if you get my drift.

At least you were able to see Super Bowl I and II. I wasn’t even born yet, no fair.
The past 40 years have had only one Packer Super Bowl win, can you believe that? I can’t believe you missed out on Brett Favre, I suggest that’s the best place to start to research on what you missed. It won’t take long for you to love him.
*wink

will the lions win a game?
is brett favre serious?
will pittsburgh let another team get their glorious days?
will chad ochocinco change his name back?
will T.O. shut up?
these are the crisises of todays modern NFL, its no longer about the good, but the bad bad bad, and the jets certainly fit there

Well, I don’t have all day, but here’s some:
Squeaky Fromme – Is the majority silent partner in ownership of the Dallas Cowboys.
Tex Watson – He played 11 years for the Oakland Raiders, three times all pro. Upon retiring he opened a wig shop in Austin, TX. He is now in negotiations with Al Davis to buy the Raiders.
Linda Kasabian – Owns a bed and breakfast near Puget Sound and also owns the site where the Seattle Seahawks have their pre-season practices.
I’ll have to get back to you with the rest because I’m approaching Yahoo’s word limit.
Ick.

The NFL resembles your prison teams record as thugs on the loose.

No more leather helmets. They wear nut protectors called “cups”. That’s about it. BTW, Vinny Bugliosi says hi

Seems kind of queer that you’ve been in prison for 40 years, but managed to change your Y!A name every two seconds.

Chuck, sorry for a possible “wisecrack answer”, but…
If you REALLY haven’t watched a football game since January 1969, could you please explain how you earned the status of “Top Contributor” for the subject of….Football?
And if this really IS a serious question, isn’t asking us to summarize 40 years of football a bit much? Y!A barely gives us enough space to summarize one year of football, much less 40!
Personally, I’ll take the sure 2 points for a reasonable, honest answer instead of a (possible) 10 points for an unreasonably long one. And if you really want a summary of the last 40 years, there are plenty of books, newspapers, magazines & Web sites that have this information. Check them out.
